It's in his blood...
Michael Price grew up knowing how to build a home. His father, Lee Price, built in Decatur for over 40 years. Mike worked alongside his dad after school and during Summer break, framing, roofing, landscaping and performing other tasks. There's no better teacher than experience, and experience in home building is what Mike got.
In 1979, his family owned and operated Centron Lumber Company. This company's focus was contractor sales and later expanded to include retail. During this time they continued to build homes and Mike began to understand what home building customers were looking for. They were looking for excellent customer service and a high quality product.

Using the buyer experience that he gained while at Centron Lumber, Mike began building homes on his own in 1992 when his family sold their company. His wife, Sharon, became his right hand woman when she earned her real estate license and began marketing and selling his homes. Sharon not only sells Payton Price homes, she assists customers in picking out the interior and exterior products that make up their dream home.
Throughout his career he has also maintained involvement in the community by serving as President of the local Home Builders Association, committee member of Ducks Unlimited and participating and supporting the Parade of Homes.
